This HAZWOPER Course can be customized for your specific needs and provided at your facility.

This program has been designed to meet and exceed employee training requirements of OSHA's Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Regulations.

Training scenarios can be tailored around site-specific chemicals. The specialized training curriculum is presented from the perspective of a HAZMAT Response Team Specialist/Emergency Responder that has spent over 30 years responding to uncontrolled emergency releases. From Operating as Incident Commander to spending countless hours inside a chemical suit, our instructor knows the importance of real-world training as opposed to theoretical based training. Critical decisions often need to be based on data, but WHAT that data means to HAZMAT RESPONDERS is often difficult to ascertain.

This course can be held at your location or at a nearby hotel training room. Facilities need to be adequate to accommodate the number enrolled for the course. Requested supplied items: TV/DVD and a marker board. Since travel is involved, pricing is designed around utilizing your air packs/bottles (local suppliers may provide rental rates).

Professional style Wall Certificates and Wallet Cards will be issued upon successful completion of the course.

Hazardous materials and waste are part of many work situations, and can be found in many types of facilities. OSHA feels that it is so important for employees to know how to recognize these potentially dangerous substances (as well as how to handle and dispose of them properly) they have mandated that anyone working with these substances receive comprehensive training in this area.

In 1976, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) to regulate the handling of hazardous waste "from cradle to grave". Since then other regulations have followed, including OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.120, also known as HAZWOPER. As part of these HAZWOPER Regulations, there are several requirements for employee training that depends on the specific level of involvement with hazardous materials.
 

The 4 hour AWARENESS training includes the following topics:
